So I’m thinking of getting into reviewing games/movies but I’m just wondering what employers look for when hiring people. Do any of you have any tips as to what I need to work on and what people enjoy finding out when reading video game/movie reviews?

I believe my use of English is okay, but whenever I try to review, I sometimes struggle to write anything as I’m not entirely sure where to start.
You will need to talk about everything when reviewing games/movies.
For example, for games, you have to focus on the graphics, storyline, music, gameplay, control, characters, sound/dialogue. etc
And for movies, you will have to talk about the actors, soundtrack/music, director, camera, story, audience. etc
These are roughly what you will have to review about.
You will also have to say all the good and bad points for the game/movie and whether you like it or not, and why.
But remember, never spoil the ending when writing the reviews, you could say there’s a surprise ending, but nothing that will give it away.
