Final Fantasy Games Help!!!?

Ok. I’m trying to figure out which FF games to buy. I don’t want any of the online ones like FFXI so that’s ok. I know that FF Orgins (FF I and II) is on PS and GBA. I believe FFI and FFII are also on GBA called Dawn of Souls…What is there difference between these? Do they have to same story? All I know for FFIII is that it is on DS. I believe FFIV is found on GBA and in FF Chronicles on PS. I think I’ve seen V and VI on GBA and combined together in PS under the name Anthology. Does anyone know what FF Tactics is? Um…yeah. I know that 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, and 12 are all on PS or PS2 consoles. So if someone could help me on the rest, I would gladly appriciate it!
Oh and if the game is found on two different consoles, do they have to same story? What is the difference?

Okay first off there’s little to no difference storywise if a FF game appears on different consoles.At most there’s an extra character or dungeon but aside from CG cinemas (usually openings) nothing major.
Final Fantasy tactics is a turn-based strategy game.It bears no resemblence gameplay-wise to the other games.

Final Fantasy III is only available for the DS right now.
FFV and FFVI on the PS are strictly ports of the original games so there are no extras.On the GBA however,FFV offers one new class and a new dungeon and FFVI offers a new character (I think)
