When we started expanding our camps in Georgia and Ohio, local gyms were not too thrilled to see us open camp City. Why? Our workouts were so different and so effective that we started stealing their clients! Unlike many clients in the gym, our
campers were sweating their butts off, reaching new fitness goals and enjoy the responsibility which arose from the camp camaraderie. So what is so special about our camps? Here's our short history:

My wife and I started our careers in education in schools downtown Atlanta, and we have gained valuable experience coaching a variety of sports. With this experience, we started the company fitness for children who were on the group exercise in after-school programs, etc. As the business took off, we saw a niche market development – People kept asking us if we ran programs fitness for adults. We are both certified personal trainers and former
collegiate athletes, but until then, most of our work had been with children. Within months, however, we started marketing our first fitness camp for adults with the help some trainers that we knew from the gym (trainers now form our core team).

Our first camp drew 18 people — some of which are freebie friends and some campers partial payment. We seek only to bring people into the doors. Overall, it was well, but we made a ton of mistakes that we have improved over the next two or three camps. By
The fourth camp, our numbers tripled, and the camp is scheduled. In the fifth camp, we made more money than we had education, and we decided to camp run full time. That decision paid off immediately because we were able to devote more time for marketing, recruitment and planning began our involvement in more than 100 campers. Years later, we run a little camp ourselves, but most of our work is dedicated to help people start their own camps.

Use these 3 tips for planning your own training camps!

1. Workouts Dynamite – our workouts are well planned and organized to accommodate all levels of fitness. This is a real key success because the "super athletes and as people can co-exist. We will scale repetitions or sets based on each level, but everybody is always the same workout!

2. Building Camaraderie – This is something that we work from the first day and it takes time to create. Here's a simple trick but many camps to ignore: the names of the people! Participants must know that they are not just a number.

3. Enjoy – your workouts should be challenging, but there are many things you can add to your camps to make them happy too. Team Games, "camper of the week" price, social outings are all elements that create a fun experience.

Bottom line – running camps fitness can be extremely profitable, but if your only reason, you may want to reconsider. Helping people get fit and have fun making the company very special!
